Default just bought a 2001 ram diesel, questions!!

i just bought a 2001 ram 2500 diesel and i love my diesels loud, not crappy loud but throaty deep loud, first thing is im going to take the silencer outa the turbo, but i was wondering if cutting the exhaust pipe would do much and how much should i cut before it sounds like crap? i need just some legit good free ways to make it louder. i read something about someone drilling a tiny hole in "the line" for the turbo to give a little more boost? wat is that about? please help anyone and everyone, thanks alot.

DO NOT put a hole in the boost line on your turbo.

If you want to up the boost on that '01, here's whatcha need.

Adjustable boost elbow to regulate the pressure to the wastegate and j-hook to increase the closing pressure on the stock wastegate spring.

As for the exhaust, cutting the muffler off a 24V is gonna make it LOUD. If you want throaty, but not ****-the-neighbors-off loud, then just do a direct fit muffler and get rid of the monster under there now.

Let me know if you need one. It's a lot more adjustable and SAFER than going ghetto fab on it.

If you want it loud, then yeah straight pipe it.

Personally, I think the 24V's sound awesome straight piped, but for me it's too loud. I like to keep mine a little sneaky.

Are you married and does your wife ride in the truck with you?

If yes, then run the exhaust all the way back.

Trust me, it'll keep you sane.
