Default ATS trans...anyone have one?

I have a 99 2500 with the 24V and an auto...the trans went to hell on me so I ordered a Stage 2 from ATS the other day...got it put in tonight, test drove it and now it has a trans temp and O/D Off lights on....no issues at all while driving it, shifts fine and everything. I did install the VBA (valave body assist) that came with the trans, but it was too late tonight to call ATS and ask em about it. Anyone else have this problem by any chance???

Thumbs down Ats

Ok so look up my post back in june of this year. I strongly advise any transmisoon out there besideds ATS. I had so many probelms witht the compnay as a whole. I snapped the imput shaft and it took them about 8 and half weeks to get it back to me. By far the worse tranny compnay i delt with. I'll tell you the full story if needed.

Good Luck. I put a stage II in my truck in August and now it slips out of park and worse yet I cannot pull my 5th wheel with the new trans.

n9424w i feel your pain. My tranny is acting up again. Right after i posted that last thread, the following day tranny started throwing codes. One was a sensor the other was a trq converter. needless to say I WILL NOT BE going back to ATS for the fixes. Going to stay local and give somebody around here some work in these tough times. Good luck with your ATS tranny.

ats is all hype, the only good thing they make are turbos, if you want a good transmission go with a suncoast, went through 2 ats transmissions in my freinds d-max then went got a suncoast and never had a problem with it since

well I got the fix for the trans, sent the late model electronics instead of the early model....haven't had any problems with it now....guess it's good it comes with a 5yr warranty lol...haven't had any problems towing with it or anything like that, so we'll see i guess....wish i would have heard more of these stories before I bought from them, lot of other people I heard from said they all had good luck with em.....

Ive heard good and bad about ATS trannys. I can personally back ATS turbos and Suncoast trannys. I've ran that combo in 2 of my last 3 diesels without any issues
