Im gonna be replaceing my old stock turbo and I am wondering which will be best for my use. I will be useing my truck as daily driver, weekend mudder and med towing like scrap cars and such but I would also love lots of power but am not sure which would be best to go for, seen lots of people with 12vs with the HX 40. Also wondering which injector upgrade would be best for me. Thanks for the input >.>b

 

I asked a lot of questions when trying to decide which turbo to upgrade to, and settled on the S300. Have one now and am very happy. My truck is a '96, so it has a little more hp than yours, plus I cut my fuel plate. I'm over 300hp at the wheels now, and the S300 keeps it cool much better than the HX35 could.
You don't need injectors, just slide the fuel plate forward, but if you have a stock automatic, be ready to rebuild it. Those stock tranny's can't hold much more hp.

 

Yeah I figured the tranny wouldnt last too long with all the upgrades. And thanks, I'll check out the S300. I dont want super power but just what I need for my useage.
