Default Front Driveshaft?

Dealer keeps telling me that I don't have to grease my front driveshaft, that it is sealed. But the manual says to do so and theres a sticker in the radiator support saying it also at every oil change. I myself, have crawled underneath and can't find nothing. But people keep saying that is a needle type fitting that's there. Ive taking it to 3 dealers, and they all tell me it doesn't use no grease anymore. Does anyone have pics of where to find it. It's a 2008 mega cab 4x4 6.7. Thanks!

I've got a 04 so I'm not sure if they are all the same but mine is located behind the u joint in the actual housing. It's a real pain to get too. It's easier to take the driveshaft out grease the slip joint and also grease this joint while its out. Go to this site and click on the DIY and then click on Driveshaft Removal and Maintence. www.doghousediesel.com It will show you where it's at if it is the same drive shaft and all.

It's there.

It's not a zerk like a traditional grease fitting, it's a recessed fitting that requires a needle to get at.

Here's the link that Casey was mentioning. Just click the driveshaft removal and maintenance.

just greased my 2009 3500 4X4 yesterday. No need to remove drive shaft, just get the right angle. Needle fit right in. It's over the cross member but I was able to get a straight shot looking from the center of the vehicle up and toward the drivers door.

Now my problem is that the manual states to do the two fittings on the tie rod ends. Mine sure doesn't seem to have any fittings. I called the dealer and they say probably sealed and no need to grease. Should I trust them or not?

Thanks Pizzo. I only found the one fitting, the needle fitting on the front drive shaft.
