Default intercooler

What is the best year intercooler to use for a 1990 5.9 that did not come with an intercooler. Also the easiest install and best overall power gain if any?

you can get a intercooler, piping and core support from a 91.5-93 dodge cummins and it will bolt in, but you will also need the radiator and thermostat housing from the newer truck, other wise some common others are 94-02 dodge, and some powerstroke intercoolers, but they take a lot of fabrication to get to fit

i always buy these kind of pieces from ebay, only other options are wrecking yards, but very hard to find, and another is just tryen to find some one that has upgraded, but i would say, the best bet is ebay.

i mounted one very similar to this in my 75, and it works awsome, it roughly the same size as the 93 cooler but twice as thick, and you can pick up a universal piping kit for about $80

I have been looking on ebay recently but have had no luck. Lots of big dollar stuff but no real world pricing as of yet. How about the later model dodge trucks, I know they are different but never actually had them side by to compare whether the later model one will fit without a ton of fab work?

a 94 - 02 will fit but takes a bit of fab, and 03 and newer i dont think you could fit, i think they are way to tall
