well it finnally happened.... after 363 thousand km the Tranny in my 1996 Cummins started slipping really bad today.

slips really bad in 3rd gear, up hills it still holds strong in every other gear,

any idea on how long this trans is gonna last before she goes? reason I ask is im 18 I dont make much cash and this is my daily driver and I need my truck to get to work so the longer I can run it the better

anyone know how much im looking at for a new trans or torque converter or if there is a cheap/cheaper alternative?

Truck isn't beat I drive it like my grandpa would guess its just wearing out.

Junk yard. Look for a used tranny out of a wrecked low mileage truck. Also check the auto parts listings on Craigslist. Being in Canada might limit your choices because of fewer vehicles being available.
