My new 3k miles, wont shift into 6th gear when cold. Have to play with accelerator pedal to get it to shift. Does fine after the initial shift. Any Ideas??

Is it cold out where you are? I know on trans on the 07's will not let the transmission shift into 4th or lock the torque converter until the transmission fluid has reached a certain temperature. I'm willing to bet the new trans have something similar.

Just the cold weather program.

Does it shift okay once the truck warms up?

Yes its cold. In the 20's and 30's in the mornings. Hadnt heard of the cold weather programming, but that could be the issue. Once its shifts the first time,, no problems after that. thanks for the info.
