95 2500 question

Default 95 2500 question

Ok well im looking for a new truck and I would love to find a diesel but couldnt until now. I found a 95 looks like good condition single cab 250,000 just on truck new jasper motor 2,000 miles ago he wants 5,950 for it I said no way so I emailed the guy and said it needs a new ecu? I do know a little bit about diesels and I thought this year didnt have a ecu am I correct? am I missing something here or what?

no ecu, there is a pcu though and does control some engine functions, like grid heaters, altinator, and gauges, and may even turn the fuel solinoid on and off, but i cant remember that one right now, why does he say its bad? i bet its not, and you can work the price down even more, but its really not a terriable price

He said it still runs and drives fine. So I asked him and he said the computer. So im not sure what he is talking about.
