The BF Goodrich cheapies they throw on from the factory are crap, I changed to the All Terrain, no problems whatsoever. When I jumped in my new truck and went down the road, I thought to myself not again!!! They also had to adjust the steering wheel on the new one. It looked like I was steering right while going straight.
Randy,

I bought a 2010 Dodge 2500 Deisel HD in June and I,m experiencing the eact same issues. I noticed the problem when I drove it home on the interstate for several hundred miles. The steering was horrible and the steering wheel cocked to the left. One I got it home I turned the steering to the left and right as far as it would go several times and took it for a drive and it seemed to improve the tightness. I took it to a Crysler dealer in a few days to see if they could straighten out the steering wheel, got it back and they said everything looked ok.

Unless I,m trying too hard to recognize the problem but it seems to come and go, but when its not right it is scarey to drive.

I hope we don't get the shaft from Crysler I had a real bad expierience with GM on a 2009 GMC Acadia and it leaked like a sive and I tried the lemon law and legal repsentation and hit a stone wall with the great new GM what a joke and 9 months of agreviation and finally just traded it off.

Please keep me informed of your progress. I,m not very happy at this point.

Default Steering issues up the arss!

Randy- Just bought my 2011 3/4 ton, I am not that much of a mechanic but I feel like I need a stabilizer from frame rail to frame rail and another under the hood to tie it all together. I wish more people would address this issue because just like you, I use my truck to work but I am scared of putting a load in it.

Gotta love that reply from the dealers. They should just put in their advertising that it comes with "Custom Degree Steering for Door Leaners"

Default My Steering Issues Are Not A Problem Now!

The best advice I can pass on to the steering wearey Dodge owners is to get rid of the truck!

My 2010 Dodge Ram 2500HD six months old with 7000 miles and straight from the lot with bad steering issues. From steering gear to power steering pump to ball joints to stablizers and steering dampers to new tires and still the same bad steering problem.

I just traded for a 2011 GMC 2500HD Sierra Denalli it drives great with pleanty of power and comfort.

Let someone else fight the battle with Chrysler. There engineers need to go back to the drawing board.

Good Luck................

I have the same problem and it seems to be getting worse. I bought my 2010 3500 larimie last summer (new it was fine), we pull a fifth wheel and boat behind, otherwise it pretty much is parked all summer. I drive a corvette in the summer and just parked it to drive the truck over winter. I did notice some slop on our last summer trip but now, whether I'm just use to the vette tight steering, the truck is very sloppy (20k). I've had it to the dealer twice in the last month and they finaly tightend the steer box after several other steering tweeks, its a little better, but they basicly told me that because dodge uses the straight front axile it will always be sloppy. I'm not impressed and considering trading back to the gmc. I love the truck other wise, just wondering if anyone else has come across a fix for this yet, is there a replacement aftermarket steering box that would fix the problem?
