Anyone else having problems with the new brake control system? Three hundred miles on a new 2500 diesel and an error code saying not to tow a trailer. Dealer says units are on nationwide backorder. They finally found one, put it in today and still the same error code. Also had a problem with the starter not engaging periodically. Dealer was able to duplicate but called tonight saying now the windshield wipers won't shut off. Truck's failing fast. Dealer doesn't seem to know much about a 2010.

Not a happy camper!

 

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Dennis....Check out my "Steering Problem" thread....had mine for four days and the steering gearbox is being replaced....

As I said earlier, the dealer installed the new trailer brake contoller, still had the same error code. Still had the starting issue and the wipers wouldn't shut off. All that and turned out to be a dead cell on one of the two batteries. Seems to be working fine now. Fingers crossed.

 

i was going to say it either sounded like an electrical problem or something in the computer, since all the things you mention are controlled by the computer now.

 

Wish I could help. Over 2K now on my 3500 with no troubles. Really liking the truck so far.
