The feed line isn't just that fitting. Behind that fitting is a small spring and a check ball that you need to verify is seated correctly.

He went in at an angle with the impact gun on the pump gear nut?!.....

Dude, seriously!....FIRE YOUR MECHANIC!

That nut does NOT need and impact gun on it. It only goes on at 77 ft/lbs.

Also, make sure he didn't try to use the nut and pump gear to PULL the CP3 into place....that's a HUGE no go.

I'm tellin' ya, I think I know what happened to that pump, so don't be surprised if II gives you a call and says they're not covering the damge. I'm just sayin'....be ready for it.

I hope they do, but.....

Look, here is one of my DIY's for removing and installing a CP3. You DO NOT need an impact gun and you DO NOT need to remove the radiator.

Well just got off the phone with Jim from II . They took the pump a part and found the O ring was not put in right. So the rebuilt the whole thing made sure it all works and sending it back to me today . But i did ask how this could have happened they did mention that if you install the pump wrong it could **** up the o ring. So although i dont have to pay for the pump to be fixed. I shall have a talk with my mechanic about how this pump will go back into the truck. i'll try to print out the DYI from your site to show him just so he can understand how to do the F ing job right the first time. Thanks for your time and all your help. i shall be coming to you soon for a meth kit and maybe fire rings if you make them.

Lemme check, not sure why those pics wouldn't be showing.

They're showing fine for me.

Are you on a work computer? It may have Photobucket blocked.

Put the new pump in from II it works perfect. i still have a little vibration in the truck witch is still puzzling me. I have aftermarket injectors from II, they only have maybe 75k on them. i hope its not that. What else could cause this from pulling the CP3?
