Default In frame rebuild??

Hey guys, was woundering what you think, had leaky injectors for a few months and after i replaced then i now have a internal engine clank (not sure if its a rod, piston knock. So i'm prepairing for a rebuild, main question is can it be done inframe or do i have to remove it from the truck?? I found engine kits from www.agkits.com for about $1,025.00
05 dodge ram, 5.9 4x4 short bed

before you spend too much money, i would investigate the problem first, i think you might beable to pull the pan but dont hold me to it for a 3rd gen. but in my expeirences it is a lot eaiser to pull the engine than do an inframe, and not sure if the piston/rod assemblies will clear the firewall on the rear cylinders

agree with dodgetrucker75 if you have to do a rebuild it would probaly be easiest to pull the engine out.
