Default SWAP Question

I have a '98 Dodge 1500 quad cab short box 4x4. And really want a diesel, now I just found a guy selling a '98 Ram 2500 Reg Cab Long box Cummins 24v. So my ? is, will my quad cab short box bolt on the reg cab long box chassis? I know its going to be some work but do you guys think it will work?. I think it would be easier than swaping: engine, tranny, front dif and rear dif. The reg cab is all rusted and beat up so I don't really care about it. I really like my quad cab. Thanks

it shouldnt be that bad, probably just need to fab all new body mounts from the reg cab area back, probably just cut them off the doner vehical and weld back on, i would swap the bodies if ya do it, the 1500 has a smaller frame and everythig is different (bigger) from the frame down, it will all bolt together between the two but there are some key differences, just measure the wheel base between the two to make sure they are the same, im sure they are, but check them out
