This morning my truck would not turn off after I removed the key. Engine stayed on and instrument panel lit. I turned the key back and forth several times thinking it was the ignition switch. Then I popped the hood. I unscrewed the lid to the fuse box and when I started to lift the cover it shut off. I am thinking stuck relay somewhere. Anyone have any ideas?

any chance that the cool down feature was activated on the edge?

I wish. I have an older model Edge that doesn't have that cool feature. I do want to trade up eventually. Thanks, that was a good thought.
It hasn't done it again today, but I'm worried that it could lead to a costly repair. (computer module or something)

*NEW INFORMATION*
Now after I turn off the truck, the headlights, and ONLY the headlights turn on a minute later and stay on. I scanned it and found this code:
P2509 ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent.
It has been raining here for several days now. Maybe water is an issue if it got into the wrong place. I don't know where to look. Any ideas?

P2509 Vary common problem
code is set when one or both batteries are weak or dead. this would be the first place I would look or loose cable connections check all battery cables.

If you find the batteries are in good shape check for a bad ground at the intake heater or a loose connection to the ECM.

Okay. The code may have been set because the batteries went dead form the truck keeping things powered up. *MORE INFO*
Now the headlights and parking lights are on. If I open the door or give any other input to the truck the lights turn off, and then back on in a minute. I decided to smack the top of the fuse box under the hood, and the lights flashed. I did it again and they went out. Then the lights went on and off by their self. Then off, then hi-beams. Now hi-beams and ONLY hi-beams are on. Maybe just bad/wet connection?
Oh, I'm watching it now and the lights are flickering.

well the fuse box under the hood is the "tipm" it is an actull controller that may be your issue

Oh it is? That isn't good. Tomorrow I will go over every connection and connector to the "tipm"
I just can't afford to pay the dealer to replace it if it is the problem. After I smacked it some more I got the lights to stay off for now. I will see if the batteries are dead in the morning if something came on. Thanks for the information. I will continue to post on the issue until it is solved. Anyone have this part replaced before, and have an idea on cost?
