Default Need a little advice, new to cummings

I found a truck to day that was so nice I could not pass it up and bought it. I already have a loaded 2010 HEMI Larmie and was not looking for another truck but but this Dodge 2500 was impossible to say no too.

Here is what it is. 1998 Dodge 2500 club cab long box. 24V 5.9 Diesel.

The truck has only 54,000 miles on it and was never used for towing only as a city fire Marshall truck, but he never used it much. It is a 8 out of 10 in condtion with a brand new paint job (red) so I bought it at a steal.

My question is what the hell is this Juice with Attitude controller the truck has? All I know is I was told it is set to 1 and I should leave it alone. The truck runs like new and I was suprised at the power this thing has even off the line for a diesel. Just want to know if this is a good engine and anything I need to watch for in these trucks, again the truck is truly almost in showroom condtion and the city spent a lot of money on it before they sold it.

the "edge...Attitude" is a chip (performance enhancer), #1!!!!thing to do is, put a fuel pressure gauge in it to moniter the lift pump pressure, if its an auto trans, dont turn the chip up too much with out a concertive foot, other wise, expect too put a few $ in the trans as well,

if you have the 24V, you have a 98.5. they switched over half way in the year from the 12V. and you have a very stout engine and sounds like a very nice truck. if you have any other specific questions feel free to ask
oh and theres no G in CUMMINS!
