Question 2004 dodge 3500 with code p0251

i have a 2004 dodge 3500 with a cummings engine and i was driving it down the road and the engine started to accelerate faster with out me pushing on the throtle. i quickly shut the truck off and pulled over. i tryed to start the truck and alls it does is turn over. i got the truck towed to my house and pugged in the code reader. it came up with P0201,P0202,P0203, P0251. im not sure whats going on. Any advice will help.

Thanks

p0201,p0202, p0203 are injector circuit codes.
p0251 is a code for a no start that is haveing a problem with the The Pressure Limiting Valve
The Pressure Limiting Valve will need to be replaced

you might have to take it to the dealer unfortunatly. cause they need to do a diagnostic procedure with a scan tool viewing the fuel pressure set point and fuel pressure and a lift pump flow test

the pressure limiting valve is on top of the fuel rail

I agree if your not mechanically inclined for safety sake I would take it to the dealer and let them deal with the issue... Common rails have High pressure in the Rail and injector lines if you have pressure in the lines and you crack that line.. as the warning sticker says may cause death.. take it to the dealer and they will hook up a DRBII and see what the Rail pressure is before they crack a line... its safer both ways... Sadly it may cost a few bucks but well worth it for you to take it to the dealer... Plus the wiring for the injectors maybe cut/broken someplace giving you Several false codes...
