Default Help-Reported water in brake fluid

I just had my pickup serviced by an out of town repair shop and they did a 25 point inspection. The result indicated that my brake fluid has 4% moisture in it. They said 1-2% is ok but 4% may cause the brake lines to rust. Since I'm towing I would like to makes sure everything is in good condition, but of course, would prefer avoiding unnecessary service.

Since, I'm out of town I phone the last shop that serviced my truck about a month ago. They indicated that they had never heard of being able to measure the amount of moisture in brake fluid.

Any help from someone of knowledge would be appreciated.

sounds like snake oil to me, but if you want to be sure you can flush the brake fluid (which isnt a bad idea to do periodically anyway) and its very simple, thats all they will do and charge an arm and leg too

They said they want 129.95 to replace the brake fluid.
