I'm looking at diesels and I've got a buddy that has a 99 quad cab 3500 2wd. The 2wd is really my only complaint as I want a 4wd. It's an auto truck with 150,000 miles on it. Is there anything I need to watch out for? He said it has power everything and that he'd sell it to me for 6,500. He's a pretty reliable friend, but I just don't know much about diesels.

if you get it, make sure to install a fuel pressure gauge, thats about it, if its a 3500, it may have the 2wd straight axle setup, if it does, it would be very simple to convert to 4x4, everything will simply bolt in
