Default Need Help!!!! Dying in S. Texas. No A/C

A/C was working fine. Made a stop, 2hrs later, start the truck, no A/C. Fan works, all speeds. Heater works, directionals work, but just blows ambiant air. Had a guy diagnos the problem. 2 1/2 days later, he tells me he tracked the problem to the fuse block. Told me the part was very expensive ($2,000+) & I have to have the dealer reprogram my computor. Does anyone know of this? Is this a common problem? Does the fuse block go by a different name? Can it be straight wired? Can I buy the part cheaper online, or in the junk yard? Just doing my home work. Thank you to anyone that can help.

could be anything, clutch relay, compressor, low pressure cutoff switch, high pressure cutoff switch, etc.
what did your pressures look like static and dynamic?

With that answer, I can tell you did not really read my post. The problem has been tracked to the fuse block. Looking for answers about the fuse block.

Yes sir, I believe this guy runs a reputable shop. He has dodge deisels at is shop all the time. He told me that it was the fuse for the a/c in the fuse block & you have too buy the whole fuse block. You just cant change the a/c fuse in the block. He also told me that the dealer would have to program the fuse block with the computor in my truck. I dont know how true any of this is. I am extreamly novice too electrical aspects of automotive, but I am willing too learn. I just need a good teacher.

well all so called fuses are replaceable unless there are solders/defects in the circuit board under the fuses in the pdc(power distribution center)/fuse block.
which is what your saying he diagnosed.
