Hey guys, I'm doing a bunch of research on the 5.9 Cummins because I would like to sell my truck and buy an 06-07 5.9 by mid may next year. I'm just wondering what you guys are seeing for gas mileage for city and highway? I hear 18 for city and maybe even low to mid 20's is possible for highway. Also, what are some positives and negatives for the 5.9. I know they are very solid, long lasting engines, but am just curious to hear from you, who have first hand experience with this truck and engine. Thanks!

 

my dad has an 05 1 ton with 5.9 and city mileage is about 16.he only drives on highway with 15k camper at 9-10 mpg but doesn't sweat at 75-80 mph
