Unhappy 08 6.7 getting new turbo at 52K miles

Thank goodness the thing is still under warranty. The dealer mechanic says the software's regeneration problems, multiple changes did the turbo in. When I get to 100K miles I'm thinking of pulling all the BlueTec crap. The mechanic says the particulate chamber needs replacing every 100K miles anyway, at $1000s.

Is this doable with the 6.7 engine? I believe in addition to losing all this expensive Al Gore stuff, the truck will be more reliable and get better fuel milage. I'd appreciate any thoughts.

yes you can remove the all the emisions stuff but you will need a programer, such as the smarty, to turn that stuff off in the computer to keep the warning lights off, also they seem to be way more reliable, and a big + for fuel milage
