Default Metal noise - Tapping!....Youtube link

Hey guys, have reading a lot of posts about this tink, click, ticking noise but nobody says what it is?. Sounds like metal clinking, My 05 has been clinking ( not steady)for sometime now, only at idle in gear or not. I have no mods, have 5" exhaust & air cleaner setup. 6 new injectors and CP3 pump. The truck has 194,000 on the od, have taken it too many mechanics and all have no idea!! I'm about ready to pull the motor. Have adjusted the valves many times and feel that is not my problem! I put long tool to my ear and the other end up to the front of the oil pan and you can really hear it, but its not a rod knocking noise. A lot of people seem to be having this noise, hoppfully someone here can say what this is and how to fix it!!,http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxzgG5NmbUA http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsPnyf-3WTc http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2h_PC1QkPCc http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkjRozduvMw

can you post a sound clip? you may just be hearing gear chatter, or its possible a timing cover bolt may have backed out, or some other object could have gotten in the gears, but its hard to say without hearing

I hear a tapping, engine sounds louder than it should, maybe a rod, piston pin, noise is in the front of motor. Seems as of today, races faster as you give it more fuel, but goes away at some point. Had 2 front bad injectors for months before fixed! The cherpping sound you may hear is not it!!
