Default A/C problem.... controls on dash do not switch air placement

truck: 03, ram 3500, quad, diesel.

so i turn the **** to move the air from your face to feet and nothing happens, still blows out vents in dash.

also when i push the driver temp slide to hot, it does not blow hot. the pass slide works and blows hot if i slide it.

anyone have any suggestions?

My 2006 Dodge Ram did the same thing. The whole Dash has to come off. Mine was still under Warrenty so I was lucky. The Labor is what hurts.

I had this too on my 99 ram, so yours may differ. The selector **** you turn is connected to vacuum lines that control which way the air goes. These hoses can harden and crack over time, developing leaks, and then need to be replaced. It's not too bad of a DIY job.
