Default Smoke

Is it typical for these trucks to smoke more as they get older. I purchased my truck, brand new, in 2007. Its a 5.9L CTD 2500, completely stock. When I first got the truck, I couldn't get it to smoke for the life of me, regardless on how hard I hit the gas. Now, at 45,000 miles, I can easily get a plume of smoke behind me when I hit the accelerator hard. One side of me smiles when this happens, but then I wonder if there's something I should get looked at.

if your air filter is clean, then you are fine, that is normal for the 5.9 to smoke a bit, all of them around here do
