Default $3,300.00 For New Injector & Lift Pump?

I have a 2001 2500 and the Injector Pump left me on the side of the road. I had a friend get me to the nearest dealership. They quoted me $3,300.00 to Replace the injector pump and install the retro-fit in tank lift pump. Is this with-in reason???????

You can get a reman pump and aftermarket lift pump for about $2500 installed from a reputable shop. If they are wanting to put the retrofit pump in the tank, DO NOT let them. These retrofits are prone to fail, and when they do, they take the injection pump out also. Look into F.A.S.S., AirDog, Raptor, etc. for an aftermaarket lift pump. Or you might look up internet dealers to see if you can get a deal on both. There are several different companies that do this.

Also depending if you have an H.O. or S.O. engine, is which pump you can use. You can use a S.O. pump on a H.O., but not a H.O. pumpon a S.O. engine.
