Default Cracked Transmission housing

I have an 07-2500, with the 6.7 Cummins, and my automatic transmission housing cracked 3/4 of the way around. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a common problem with these? My extended warranty wouldn't cover it so I shelled out $3200.00 to have it fixed. Not a happy camper!!!

whoa. Nope, no crack here. Something internal blew up in mine though. I should get it on the bench tomorrow to start figuring it out.

They said they cover all internally lubricated parts. Nothing was bad inside the trany so they wouldn't cover it. They felt the crack was from an external vibration like universal joints going out or a drive shaft out of balance. Bunch of crock if you ask me!!!!!

Man im having the same problems, mine has 70,010 miles on it and its now on its 3rd tranny due to the housing cracking. I also dropped $3,200 into it the first time it cracked and not even 2 weeks later it cracked again, dodge isnt wanting to cover their 12/12 warranty... GET AN ATTOURNEY!! trust me.

Will not cover squat
Always denied
Rarely covers what breaks
Really fills the dealer's pockets
Always find a fault with the owner's maintenance
Never approve warranty claims
Tell the customer it's "Their Fault"
Yes... it is a crock of shiat, that's how we make our $$.
