im having a hard time deciding between the whole banks big hoss bundle... $2200!
or the edge juice with attitude module and RBP's 5inch exhuast.... $1400 total with hook up through friend. any input would be greatly appreciated

 

it all depends on how much you want to dump.

I personaly would be happy with either the Xzillaraider 140hp module, or the VanAiken C3.2 timeing/duration box, also good for 140hp.

however theres one thing you have to look at, the holset HX35 turbo that comes stock on the truck is only good for 450hp. by adding in any high HP system your gunna start stressing the turbo to the point of blowing the compressor wheel or worse.

a good way to go would be to get a good performance box, dump the muffler, and upgrade the turbo. the stock 4 inch exhaust I'm guessing is what you have is more than enough to run upwards of 600+hp.

Drew, from what I have read, the HX35 came stock on the 04.5+ Cummins. I have the '04 Cummins with 305HP motor. Do you know what turbo came stock on that model? Does the list of turbo's you listed also apply to the '04 model or only '04.5 models? Do you know if any of the turbo's on the list are a variable geometry type turbo? Do all of the turbo's on the list mount without any clearance problems? Thanks, much appreciated...Gabe

 

Definately go with the Edge With Attitude! My husband is a Diesel Mechanic and they install these all the time. Not only do they repair diesels they do upgrades as well. He did say that Banks has good exhaust, but he wouldnt recommend the chip from Banks. He wanted me to let you know that a 5" is overkill and if you want to save some $ you should go with 4". If it is just a preference of the look/sound, then you can go with the 5".

 

the turbo that is on the 305 motor is the HY35 the only difference between the HX and the HY is the compressor houseing is bigger on the HX for more boost.

oh, and all those turbo's listed will fit on engines from the 600 all the way back to the first 5.9L ISB that came out in 89
