Default 2 junk VP44s.

so heres the thing. and i know most people have prolly seen me post the same thing over and over. well i burned up my bosch replacement. and because of my lack of funds i found a used one for 450. so i got it. got it all installed and after the guy i bought it from tellin me it came out of a running truck.. soon as i kit the key it threw a code. P0253. the MOTIS scanner told me what it was and im afraid i now have 2 VP44s that are cores. anyone have any ideas to what i can do? my truck has been parked for almost a month.

Dang man i feel your pain. Unfortunatly you cant swap the fpcm from one pump to another they calibrated per the pump they were original put on. you can give it a shot but it ruin both of the pumps for being accecpted as a core.

im afraid to try it now.. the pump with the bad computer still runs.. i just get dead peddle with with. the pump i just got the MOTIS says at one time its internal pump failure, then after cranking it turning the key off it then give me a different code and says the fuel valve circuit is open. but nothing about the internal pump error/failure.

Generally on these pumps the fpcm is what fails due to head a vibration. The fpcm on the pump is cooled by fuel and if they get to hot they fail. Your best bet is ebay ive found new pumps on their for around 900 bucks.
