I just picked up an '02 Dodge Ram Cummins and didnt get a keyless entry with it. I'm going to purchase 1 either from the local dealership or whatever. Just wondering if anyone knows how to re-set the new one to work with my truck?? Dont want to pay the dealership $$$$ to just hit the brake pedal 4 times with the key on or some crap like that....

 

The only ones had done had to be reprogrammed since the body computer was changed. The dealer told me they had to do it and there was not a procedure for doing it. I'm not saying there isn't a way though.

 

Keyless entry remotes must be programed with a dealer scan tool. Some dealers will do this at no charge if the remote is purchased at the dealers parts department. You should have them check and see if this truck has keyless enty before buying a remote.
