So I'm drivin home from wherever and my check brake light and abs light comes on. So I pull over, check fluid, all that jazz and it's all good. I'm guessing it's just a sensor that went out but more or less hoping it's something simple. Does the OBD port control these things? If so, what would the codes read?
Alot of times sensors (ABS)in the diffs rear and maybe the front if your has it can causes this ...I have taken mine out and they are like magnets that collect metal fibers and have cleaned them off and they have been fine after...i also always change the diff oil at the same time...hope this helps
Cool. I didn't know there were abs sensors in the diffs on these trucks. I'm used to working on larger vehicles and older vehicles so either they got them in the hubs or there are none at all. Thanks.
Without a check engine light most hand held scanners wont read the fault. Abs scanners can read the fault threw the obd port. Usually otc modis and geneis snaners will read the fault or if you can get you hands on factory dodge scanner your in business
