Default 2004 - 2500 quad cab 4x4 diesel

can anybody explain?? when i first start off i am getting a vibration in the front end and when i shift into third it is gone until i slow back down. i only have 19k on it. i do have a 2" leveling kit on it with 33's. has anybody run into something like this? tires are good, checked the lugs, haven't jacked up yet to check for a bad bearing...almost like a brake is grabbing a little

#1, check the ball joints, DC says .090 inch is out of tollerance. . .I say .00001 is out (and yes I have a depth gage that can measure that at work)

#2, even though this is mostly found when running 60-70mph, I would have the front drive shaft checked. there are more cases than I can count about the front prop shaft being out of ballance.

#3, check the steering linkage and make sure the track bar isnt bent. this is easily bent and is the main cause for death wobble.

those would be the first three things I would look at

it could be a u-joint binding up. something that does happen.

I would drop by the dealer and have them take a gander. let them sit in the passenger seat while you drive and tell them what you feel.

since you only have 19k on the clock it'll be replaced under warranty.

also, whyle they have the tires off have them check the ball joints and write down the play they have

it depends on your dealership, if they are cool with mods like that I doubt they would have much of a problem, but they could say that you did alter the geometry of the front end causeing the ball joints to wear premeturely.

if you have a press I'm sure you could git-r-done though, might take a bit of research if you get kicked out of the dealership
