Default Rough running

hello there i have a 2005 ram 3500 4x4 diesel with 225000 kms on it about 3 years ago all of a sudden the engine lost about 50 % of its power and was running very rough, this lasted for about 40 km then everything went back to normal, this same thing has happened about 6 or 7 times in the past 3 years each time was diffferent sometimes it would run rough for 5 minutes other times i would drive for 100 kms with this severe loss of power , it has been over a year since the last time it happened until the other day and the truck ran rough for about 5 minutes then went back to normal, to me it seems like an electrical issue but i havnt had time to get it looked at, i run synthetic oil and change oil every 12000 kms or so and change the fuel filter every time i change the oil, one time when it happened i was close to a lube shop so i drove in and had them install a new fuel filter, this did nothing to solve the problem....any ideas? its more of an annoyance than anything else...thankyou

I have the same truck, you might want to check the fuel pump (tank), & the soleniod valve (fca) on the cp3 pump! Check for water in fuel! My thoughts...
