starts up runs good in park idles fine put in gear and has no power and running rough and is pushing when brake on like it wants to go no throttle til its sarts moving

 

You gotta give us more than that. At least tell us what year you have and what engine you got.

What maintenance has been done to it? When was the last time you did a tune up and changed spark plugs? Cleaned the throttle body? Any water in the gas? How long as it been like this?

You need to be as informative and descriptive as humanly possible.

 

2004 dodge ram 2500 diesel automatic stock truck start right up idles in park perfect rev up no problem but one i put in gear and hold brake truck is pushing wanting to go like if you had a stick without clutch pressed in and motor is lugging down if i get the truck rolling it will pick up slowly and once im at about 30 truck will drive fine just cant make a complete stop

 

Sounds like the lock-up torque converter clutch is partially engaged. Possibly a bad solenoid or other internal issues. Have you scanned for codes?
