Default Normal Operating Temp for Auto Trans

Just wondering what the normal operating temperature is for an automatic transmission?

What is the max. temp for the trans?

Thanx

normal is about 40 degrees less than the engine operating temp. I consider hot is about 210 - 220 for the trans. getting that hot for a couple minutes pulling up a grade with a trailer or a lot of shunting back and forth in a difficult parking situation is not uncommon. just dont let the trans sit at 220 for an extended amout of time.
