after trans shifts out to highest gear, with or without overdrive selected, it jumps in and out of lock up. it does this intermitently. i drive it 45 miles to work and it does it constantly going to work and then may not do it at all on way home. or vis versa. i have heard that is a symtom of a bad torque converter, and that it could be a computer problem. any ideas of things i can check.

this is a 1995 dodge ram 2500 cummins desile.

 

if its a 45RFE it would be a Selonid and presure switch on the valve body, did a job on a dakota last week that had same prob, parts are cheap and its easy to change.
