mpg for cummins
34 gallons
it is the only tank that I know of that comes on the 2/3500's
but there is a mod that can put that to about 38 gallons
and it's only $30

Well I took Drew's advice and I just got 20.2 mpg with 16oz of Power Service and 8oz of Marvel's Mystery Oil add to the fuel. This is most country drive with not to many stops in between, but there is some city drive also in the calculation. I just hit 1300 miles on the truck. Really hope to improve even more as the truck gets broke in. But am very happy with the results so far.

My neighbor traded his 03 hemi for an 05 ctd primarily for the better fuel economy. He regrets it now. He's getting about the same average mpg he was getting with his hemi and diesel is over 30 cents higher than gas where we live. He just took a 500 mile highway trip and averaged just over 14. I've read where manufacture efforts to reduce noise and emissions have hurt fuel economy.

I'm guessing gas and diesel prices have changed a bit since the quoted post. I just bought a quarter of a tank for $2.999. E10 gas was also $2.999. Regular unleaded was $3.199 and Premium was $3.399! I've also seen projections that the price of diesel won't increase as fast as the price of gas. This truck will pay for itself in a year!

I also took Drew's advice and I run PS, Marvel Mystery Oil, and Redline's diesel catalyst. I'm getting 17mpg around town right with the G-56 tranny, mostly short trips and hard acceleration, so it seems to be working. I will using the Bully Dog Power Pup starting next week and I will test the different power settings for mpg.
Hey Drew,
Does the PS, or Marvels have any issues with voiding any warranty? I would love to use it, but afraid that if somthing went wrong non related to any additive that the dealer might use that as a reason to make me pay for the problem. Not trying to discredit your idea I think its a good one, just wondering before I try it.
I get about 17-18 in town, on the big road I usually average around 15-16. The two long trips from San Diego back to Denver I had the cruise set 80 mph. So my mileage went down. If I run her around 65-70 i'll get around 21. Only 19,000 I am hoping to see some improvement with more miles.
