im new to the dodge world lol. And haveing some troubles hopeing you all could help me line this out First i would like to know if someone had a stock inter cooler they would sell But the problem im haveing is i bought a wrecked 2008 with the 6.7 cummins it was hit in the drivers side front i replaced everything but the intercooler on it i thought it was ok but it has a small hole in it and you can feel the air coming out of it but what is happening is when you drive it it smokes and misses the hole time its black smoke even in over drive and on the equst the took the muffler off it and the converter but left the egr stuff on it and there is no programer that i know of on the truck unless they took it off when they wrecked the truck im not sure what i need to do to get this running right i dont want to take a chance blowing the engine up and help would be greatly apprecated

 

OK I am no Diesel master by any means and I am not sure how much experiance you have so forgive me if I sound like I am talking to a kid just trying to help you figure it out. Was kind of hard understanding your writing but, take a look at the exhaust from the turbo back. does it have the Cat, Nox catylist, and DPF in place or is that stuff gone? If its gone they did a DPF delete. Look at the entire EGR system and crossover tube that go back to the intake side. Anything missing from that? if so they may have done a partial EGR delete as well. Is your truck throwing codes on the screen above your mirror? If they had a programmer on this truck of yours they may have put the ECM back to stock and if any of the above has been removed, (ie DPF/EGR components) your truck is gonna run like **** hence any codes it may be throwing in the mentioned screen. You need to go back and ask they people who sold it to you questions like the ones I am asking. that will give you a better Idea. Also if they did remove DPF/EGR stuff ask for those parts back. Not sure if you can repair the hole in your intercooler or not. Someone on here may have an idea if not you may need to buy a new one. I am sure you can get it running again, but it may cost you some cash my friend. First thing you may want to buy is a good programmer, H&S black max or mini max, Smarty or Smarty jr programmers are a good way to go. The H&S line can be a bit spendy but it does ALOT of nice things, the smarty line is a good way to go if your looking to try and save some cash. Smarty doesn't have the bells and whistles the H&S line has but it works well too!
