Default 03 Automatic Shifting Problem

2003 with the automatic transmission, 35" Tires

When crusing down the hwy I put the pedal to the floor and the truck downshifts to a lower gear. The problem is that it will just stay in that gear. The truck will stay at redline and never try for another gear. I have to almost completely let off the gas for it to shift up.

With the 35" tires the speedo is about 10 mph off. Is the truck confused by this? Do i need to have the truck calibrated for the tires to get it to shift correctly?

Sounds like your trans is dying. The same thing happened to me and I had to rebuild it, the pressure solenoid went, causing the trans to not want to shift.
