Default Attn 53 Block Owners

I received this in the mail today regarding a class action lawsuit against Cummins for the troublesome 53 block. Sorry if this has already been posted.

Default Recall notice

I got mine today too but after buying a ''Mexican'' block for just in case, I traded for a 2004.5. I wondered how this would play out. It was not a good testimonial for Cummins.

It's a good thing they're made in China now!

This 53 block mess is just another example of Dodge hiding behind problems they know they are responsible.

Stupid lift pumps and starved injector pumps in the 1999 thru 2002 models and the transmission problems due to inferior parts in the shifting clutches which all should have been recalled but were not.

The 6.7 is a nightmare for any poor fool who owns one!

The 6.7 isn't bad IF the emissions crap is removed.

However, the fact that the injectors are $Texas is a major turn-off. People have been quoted more than $1500 EACH for them from dealership parts departments.

The VP44 and lift pumps were a shame. I'm going to be buying a 98-02 when my 08 sells, and that's one thing that I'm going to address right away if it's not already fixed.

However, I'm not entirely sure how Dodge is responsible for Cummins shipping them a bunch of blocks with crappy castings.

While Cummins should now be held responsible for the 53 block issue, at time of manufacturing it would be close to impossible to tell whether the casting were bad are not.
