Default roling smoke

hey guys i was reading a post on here a while back and the guy did a bunch of things to his truck i believe it was a bigger turbo, head studs, exhaust manifold, nozzles and lift pump so my question is which one of those would make him roll alot of smoke? he had videos on his post and it looked like anytime he got on the throttle lots of smoke was coming out even when he was in town where the speed limit is like 30. thanks guys

ah, douchey. My truck will dump smoke when I turn the fuel up and stand on the throttle, but it's wasted fuel and the reason the government is cracking down on diesels in general.

Depends on the tune really. I'm not sure on the vp44/24 valve trucks, but the cp3/hpcr trucks it's entirely possible to billow a bunch of smoke with just a tune. If you got a more conservative tune/programmer, you're not going to get as much smoke.

If you've got a vp44 you may need to upgrade the pump if you upgrade your injectors.

I don't understand....why do you want to waste fuel and pollute the air?

Nozzles and a larger, laggy turbo can be a smoke show. I put a Silverbullet on my stock truck, other than Smarty TNT and built trans, and it would just douche smoke for over a half mile before the turbo lit. That was mild pedal input to.

My 03 with Smarty TNT won't smoke hardly at all, where the same program on the 07 will blow smoke at will.

Save the smoke for the backroads with your buddies, not in town.
