Default Block Heater Help ?!?!?!?!

I have an '06 Cummins quad cab dually...

I have no engine block heater cord visible or otherwise. I have heard that all the Diesels come with the heater installed but you have to buy the cord?!? Is this true?
Any diagrams or data sheets online I can view to see if I can confirm I have the heater and all I need is a cord?

Any help is much appreciated!

Ric

Default block heater

It is my understanding that all Dodges with Cummins power have block heaters but some don't have cords. The cords can be purchased from a Dodge dealer or online for about $15 and are easy to install

The heater is located near the oil filter. I think there is a small "cap" that needs to be removed from the end of the heater so you can install a cord.

I agree with Brian. Bought my truck, they have the heater installed but no cord sometimes. Crawl under the truck (passenger side), locate your oil filter and just behind it you should see a black cap on the side of the engine block. When you get your cord (got mine from Geno's 14.95) unscrew the black cap, install your cord and screw it down.
Wished I took pics when I did mine (a couple weeks ago). Good luck
