Default Ran deisel dry. Help!

I have a 1995 Dodge RAM 3500 4x4 One-Ton Dually Cummins Diesel. I ran out of fuel. (Oops!) I added $50 fuel to the tank and primed a dozen times x a dozen! It tried to fire but wouldn't start. Is this a vapor lock or something different? Any help would be good.
Sadly without my truck,
Thor

Default no fuel

Not vapor lock but similar. You have air in your system that will need to be purged. On the newer Cummins the lift pump should eventually self purge but on yours I don't know the procedure but old twelve valvers will explain I'm sure, goods luck.

Don't you need to crack an injector fuel line to bleed the air on the older trucks?

Ok, looking in Alldata, you have to do a manual bleed - open the bleed bolt and hit the rubber primer on the transfer pump until fuel comes out the bleed without air bubbles.

Try cranking it over, if it still doesn't fire, you may have to bleed the injector lines. Crack the line at the injector, crank the engine over until fuel comes out. Repeat for each injector.

I'm paraphrasing from Alldata, someone who owns a 12-valve may have better suggestions.

Edit: Be careful of fuel spray at the injector lines - apparently P-7100 pumps run at about 17k psi which will cut right through flesh and bone. HPCR CP-3 pumps run upwards of 30k psi.

Yes. They are correct. Gotta open the bleed screw and pump from the lift pimp with hand. Then once no air in there open each injector and crank motor untill steady fuel flow is aquired. And repeat for each injector but like ^ said. Be very careful doing this because its so high pressure. Good luck. And it is going to take forever to do this Keep cranking the motor. May sound bad but gotta do it. Took me longer then i wanted to. Lol. Good luck
