Default Couple questions about my new 2006 3500

Monday night went and bought me a 06 3500 4x4 6speed. Well I want to install the muffler delete and a 5 inch tip. Also want to install cab lights, so my question is should I buy them from the dealer or should I get the Recons. What all do they come with and how difficult are they to install?

Default cab lights

By cab lights do you mean the ones on top of the cab? If that's what you mean I would not suggest it. My 2004.5 has them and they are famous for leaking. I've already replaced one of mine because of it leaking to the headliner then through the inside fitting for the visor, It's common so I wouldn't put any holes in the roof. Just my 2c, Gerry

Well they make the truck look good in my opinion. Ive heard that silicone along with the gasket will help with the leaks

Default leaking cab lights

The problem is not so much leaking around the gasket as the plastic usually cracks, which mine did. My idea was if there isn't a hole it can't leak. If I would have ordered this truck new as I did my last I would say no lights but I bought used.
