I'm in the quieter, the better crowd. I don't know if my '12 is quieter than my '09 was but it sure seems like it... I'm an ol' guy too and I want to keep what hearing I have left.

 

Ill give a little of my feedback. I know most people when they hear straight pipes they think really loud. My buddy has 4in mbrp exhaust with a muffler and I have a 4in down pipe going to a 5 in straight pipe the whole way back and honestly its not any louder then my buddys its just deeper. I've been told my truck sounds sweet.
