Just wondering how much free play the engine fan should have on a 2006 5.9L deisel? Engine is cold. There is some resistance when spinning by hand. It doesn't free wheel.

I keep getting a Fan Speed code. I think it is P0483??? I look it up on the Edge Programmer and it does state engine fan speed.

Just wondering if it the fan itself or the electrical part of it and how to trouble shoot. So far the engine and trans have not overheated but then again the warmest it has been this winter is 40's. Who would have thought that in WI.
