Ready to pull the trigger
Been wanting a diesel for a while. Was close in 08, then the bottom dropped. Been checking out 06-07 with 60,000-70,000 miles and they want 30G and not budging. I want a specific color, so that is making it harder. Last week i drove thru the lot and checked out the diesels. The sales man came out and we started talking and he mentioned 7 year financing. I never even thought of that, so it now makes it possible to buy new and have the same payment, except 2 more years at the end . I've paid off every car loan early anyways. In return I get new and order what i want with a warranty. I'm seeing a lot of st's with crome packages and interior upgrades. With the extras it almost looks like an slt, but it's still about $2500 cheaper. Anybody got any expertise on this trim package? I think I'm going with the st +, that's what the salesman is calling it. Any input before I pull the trigger.

Power mirrors/locks/windows on an ST?
Ok, so your payments will be the same, just 2 extra years of them.
Do you really want to buy a truck that'll lose $20k in value in the next year?
I just recently sold my 08 laramie qcsb 4x4 with leather heated seats, moonroof, power rear slider, basically loaded with 67k miles for $27k. There's a lot of stuff out there.

Yup, and the dealers were calling me all the way from Wisconsin (I'm in FL) and offering me $22k all day long, claiming that the economy was in the dumps and my truck wasn't worth the $28k I was asking.
If you use Firefox as your browser, go to crazedlist.org and start searching as far as you're willing to go.
As far as losing value, any new car purchase is going to cause a huge hit. I bought my 08 in 2010 for $30k, so it lost $26k from new in 2 years. The brunt of the depreciation is the first year. I drove it about 22k miles in a year and a half and sold it for $27k. I could have held out for more, but a quick sale was better than holding out for top dollar.
