hello, i just purchased a 2500 with 270K on it. i plan to put a programmer in it for MPG purposes. probably a adrenalin quad with the 2v monitor. i do not plan to install 1000 HP injectors or strap a rocket to the harmonic balancer in some crazy effort to crank power.

i have been reading about multi disk locking TQ's, does the 2500 with tow/plow package come with a locking TQ stock? where can i buy a cheap master rebuild kit, shift kit, and TQ for a truck that wont be much above stock power? i would like this tranny to last and take my off roading abuse. i dont haul huge trailers often either.

what shift kits should i get?

i know a little about trannys and i intend to talk my old auto teacher form high school to help me rebuild her. he worked on drive line at dodge for 35 years.
