Default Looking into getting a 02 cummins

Looking into getting a 02 cummins 24v.
I have some basic knowledge of diesel but not an expert.
What should normal oil psi should be? Should I be on the lookout for any issues with auto trannys?
I do know dodge chassis pretty good so I should be good there.

Thanks.

CumminsForum usually has a decent amount of info on the diesel side of rams.
This is a useful thread: http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/98...ed-diesel.html

Also check the link in that thread to the 'turbo diesel buyers guide'

I know some 1998-2002 24v sometimes still have problems with the 'killer dowel pin' so I'd look into whether or not the truck your looking at has the KDP fixed or has an updated case.
