Help, heater grid light.
I was traveling down the interstate yesterday for about 4 hrs at about 80mph when my heater grid light came on along with 5 chimes. It stayed on for about an hour. We stopped for fuel and when I started the truck, the same thing happened. We continued the trip and the light stayed on for about 15 minutes and then turned off. Today, my trucked operated normally. The dealership has never heard of this but said I could bring it in to see if any code was stored.
Any ideas before I pay the dealership? Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!
Mike.

After looking over a few threads, I'd take a look at the IAT sensor(s) and the heater grid relays/wiring. Some people have unplugged the IAT and it stopped the heater grid light from coming on, meaning the sensor should be replaced.
Some have had problems with relays from the heater possibly messing up. And others found that an injector or two were bad and somehow caused the heater grid to come on and sometimes engage. Although bad injectors would be noticeable since you'd feel a miss.
