95 2500 cummins w/nv4500 man trans. The Tcase is in 2H with the shifter toward the firewall and 4L toward the seat. Had to replace the Tcase, I got one from a 2001 w/nv4500 now 2H is toward seat and 4L is toward firewall. did they change the shift pattern in 01 or did I hook something backwards?

 

I believe they changed the shift pattern. I have a 2001 2500 and when the lever is pulled all the way back towards the seat, it is in 4 hi. All the way forward is 4 lo
